The shower enclosure is framed with 2 x 2, cased with 1/2" OSB on the shower side, and 1/2" plywood on the non-shower wall sides. If that makes sense. :-)
Read MoreLooking aft, driver's side. Note the homemade butcher block between the counter/sink unit and the stove. We used 1" x 6" poplar, cut into 1 3/4" inch sections. Those sections were then stood on-end, staggered and glued with Titebond II wood glue (FDA approved for indirect food contact). The clamping process left a lot of glue exposed on the surface, so we utilized the services of a local woodworking shop -- Guida Woodworks, Inc. (map) -- they ran it through a jointer and left us with only a bit of sanding to finish the job.
